SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT

Today in class, each of you marked some places that you know well on a map of the United States. Some of you have lived in these places, or visited them, or you know people who live there, too. Some of you know these places because you’ve read about them in books or seen them in movies and t.v. shows.

You began to think and jot notes and teach each other what life is like in these places.

This weekend, will you please talk with your families some more?
*1 Are there other places in the U.S. that you know well? If so, mark them on your map!
*2 Talk with your family about the kinds of questions on the chart below (these are questions that researchers of places usually ask about those places)
*3 Maybe record some more notes about one (or more) of the places you know well. These notes can go on your poster paper or in your notebook.
*4 When you come to school next week, be ready to share and teach us even more about places around the U.S.! 🙂
